Objective Observation – Is Seeing Really Believing

This Mind Exercise* is about how to develop objective observation. Let’s start with an explanation of observation that I like to use:

“Observation is what is actually seen and experienced in person. Not what is felt or heard second hand. It has the power to transform when kept objective. However, what is seen can be taken out of context, muddled, manipulated or rigged, especially in today’s high tech world. Misuse of observation causes people to jump to conclusions and is the source of propaganda, hoaxes, false advertising and bad TV sit-coms. The concept of “seeing is believing” creates assumptions. Things are not always as they appear.

The mind identifies things by comparing them to accepted data from the past. If you have no frame of reference to understand what you observe, your mind will try to fit it into a familiar scenario where the logic will then attempt to formulate an explanation. That process frequently lacks objectivity, which can lead us to incorrect conclusions.

Perhaps that is the source of the old saying, “to err is to be human.” It’s also uniquely human to self-correct by developing new skills.

*from the Learning in the New Paradigm Series by Rheanni Lightwater: Mind Exercises to realign different aspects of your learning abilities to focus on” balance” or  “joy”, rather than “perfection.”

To have your own experience with how to develop objective observation skills, let’s go through this simple series of Intuitive Learning Circles™. They’ve been put together to help you relax, contemplate the nature of objective observation and integrate the information.

Mind Body Integration

Mind Body IntegrationFor best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of the body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.

All you have to do is read the instructions and then follow through on the directions while you gaze softly at the Circle.

Step One: Pick a significant experience that you have witnessed that concerns you. Place what you saw in the center open space of this Circle. What do you know about this? Gather up the facts that you have from this experience.

It will help to imagine you can bring all the energy into focus on the center, open space of each Intuitive Learning Circle™.

Step Two: Bring your Rational Thought Chakras into balance and proper connection with your Soul. These chakras correspond with your five senses.

Step Three: Go back to the experience and gather up more objective observation about it. What was happening? What was being done? Or what were others trying to do? Do your best to stick with what you actually saw, not what you make up about what might have been happening.

You can check your facts if need be. Can you observe additional factors?

Step Four: Use this symbol to help you clear away some of the emotional or factual clutter. You can visualize it as busy thoughts or numbers, actual objects or smoke clearing out of your mind. Take all the time you need and remember the experience from different angles until you feel the clutter has lifted.

Step Five: Now that some of the smoke is cleared and you can think more clearly about the experience, were you personally holding any particular intention or wish? If so, what was it?

When it comes to others that you observed first hand, were there opposing goals? If so, what were they?

Step Six: From what you saw, what did you observe in their behavior?

Step Seven: It’s important to keep to the facts. You cannot know for sure what their motivations were, you only know what you saw and what has been stated, either verbally or in written form. Clear away your personal opinions, agendas and prejudices.

Imagine you can use this Circle to help you sift through your impressions and sweep away the extra garbage and distractions from your mind.

Step Eight: Let the energy of your Third Eye focus in on the experience. In this quiet place, what insights can you open up to? What is your inner guidance?

Can you get insights about the overall situation? What do you notice about:

  • The environment and the energy in it?
  • Who was holding the power and did it shift?
  • The outcome; for example, is the outcome complete or still ongoing?
  • Is there still an opening for change to occur?
  • What else catches your attention?

Step Nine: Connect understanding by visualizing “balance” in the center open space of this Circle. Imagine the energy of wisdom and justice flowing along the lines towards “balance”.

Might you have jumped to any conclusions in this experience? If so, what would be a better course of action?

What was happening to you during the experience? Notice what your energy was like. What can you do now to benefit yourself and/or your position?

Step Ten: What is your conclusion: What do you understand now about this experience? What do you observe in yourself? Is there something you would like to improve?

Once you get a heartfelt answer, Congratulations! You might want to make a note of what you’ve observed.

Extra-intuitive Activities

The following extra-intuitive activities aren’t required, but they can really help you excel in creating the very best of your talents, interests and passions…

Future Pacing

In our hypnotherapy and energy medicine classes, we talk about the importance of future pacing. What is that?

Future pacing is a way to deepen the effects of any mind body healing by projecting a preferred outcome into the future. Let’s use that idea to solidify what you’ve just learned about how to be more intuitive.

Observation out of balance

Observation out of balance is about preventing mistakes rather than going for balance or joy.

Let’s see what we can do to learn from what we’ve observed and use it to create a more balanced, joyful future!

Use these symbols and positive affirmations from The Essential Human to access the very best qualities to nurture your observation skills.

“I step back from my reactions and jumping to conclusions.  I am responsible for my own feelings.”

“I release all false information. I now perceive clearly by shedding light on the truth.”

“I let go of burdens, obligations and oppression. All parts of me are open and receptive to joy, fun and happiness.”

“I release disdain for others and myself. I disengage from projections and allow myself to hear the truth.”

“I release and let go of the tyranny of my personal ego. My Soul is now in charge.”

INTEGRATION

Imagine that you can access your beneficial karma for this situation and being a better observer. Gather all your good deeds in the center, blank area of this Circle.

“I gather up my beneficial karma like seeds, and plant them in my personal garden.”

“I let others deal with their own karma, while I focus on mine.”

Completion

The mind intuitively appreciates closure. Let’s get grounded as we complete this mind exercise.

Place both feet on the floor and put your hands on your knees if you can. Gaze softly at the Circle and repeat the affirmation until you feel your body has fully settled in the present.

“I am grounded in the present.”

Affirm to yourself:

“I release any agreement I have to internalize what I experience or let it get under my skin. Now, in the past or in the future.

I am an objective observer.”

Congratulations!

You can thank yourself for taking the time today to learn how to develop objective observation – a gift that will make your life a whole lot better!

Bring all the energy of gratitude and appreciation in towards you the center.

Finish it all up now by sealing and healing any pathways or holes that lead back to old harmful patterns or suffering.

“All holes are sealed and healed.”

“I follow the direction of healthy protection.”

Closure for Mind Body Healing

Be sure to rest now and do something nice for yourself!

How To Access Common Sense

This Mind Exercise is about how to access common sense.

How to Access Common SenseLet’s start with some words about common sense* that I like to remember:

Common Sense is good sense and judgement based on verifiable experience or repeated observation of the facts, not just because someone said so. When someone says, “something is so, because I say it is,” that is not common sense.

When a person’s common sense is out of balance, they’re more interested in looking good than anything else. They have poor boundaries and are more concerned about fitting in than they are with facts. The thought process is externally driven (peer pressure), not internally developed and checked against the facts.

If a person accepts a judgement as truth from a second or third party without any personal verification, it’s actually an assumed agreement or conditioning. Learning without verification can be very dangerous. An example of this would be prejudice against someone you have never met. Someone told you this person, group or activity is untrustworthy. It may be true or it may not. Without verifiable evidence, common sense is lacking.

What can be done about common sense that’s out of balance?

A good place to start is to release your agreement with any unverifiable prejudices. These may have been planted deeply in your unconscious mind by your family, religion and society, even your dearest friends. Oh, and most certainly the media!

Use this Intuitive Learning Circle™ to help you find unconscious prejudices in your mind and uproot them:

“I unearth unverified assumptions, prejudices or conditioning that prevent me from having good, common sense.”

“I uproot the resistance to verify what I’ve been conditioned to believe.”

“I uproot the belief that I have to agree with what I’m told in order to fit in.”

What else would you like to uproot?

To teach genuine common sense, a good teacher shows by example or demonstration. True common sense can prevent fascism, slavery, abuse and instills personal integrity, plus things just work better when they make sense.

*from Learning in the New Paradigm by Rheanni Lightwater: Mind Exercises to realign different aspects of your learning abilities to focus on “balance” or  “joy”, rather than “perfection.”

To have your own experience with how to access common sense, let’s go through this simple series of Intuitive Learning Circles™. They’ve been put together to help you relax, contemplate the nature of common sense and integrate the information.

All you have to do is read the instructions and then follow through on the directions while you gaze softly at each Circle.

mind Body IntegrationAn important note ~

The brain and body communicate through different channels when a part of you is crossed over the center of your body. If you feel resistant or stuck, cross or uncross a hand or foot over the midline of your body and go back to the Circle, breathing patiently. See if your thinking starts to move again. Let negative self-talk go by breathing through it.

How to Access Common Sense

Common Sense and the Third Eye ChakraStep One: Gaining insight through common sense works with having good intuition. Allow the Reiki Chakra Key below to open and balance your Third Eye energy center. The affirmations will focus your intention.

“I access good common sense. I free my mind to focus on what makes the most sense in this situation – based on verifiable evidence.”

Step Two: Slow down. Both intuition and common sense are more accessible when you’re not in a hurry or trying to do too many things.

“I slow down and pay attention to what’s happening now.”

It will help to imagine you can bring all the energy into focus on the center, open space of each Intuitive Learning Circle™.

Step Three: You might sense a blockage or your mind may go blank. That’s okay. Let this Circle soften your thoughts. Allow them to melt, move and dissolve away.

Once the blockage has cleared a bit, what would you like to do?

Feel free to move around or take a walk to get in some steps. Using the body helps your mind to integrate new ideas!

Step Four: Let your senses get balanced. Some may be turned up too high and some too low. You can imagine them like a ring of lights orbiting around your waist, casting light and awareness on the world around you.

Adjust them like a radio dial until the level feels just right.

Be sure that your lights are focused on sensing joy – not on what someone else wants you to pay attention to!

Step Five: Surround those lights with a ring of protection and strength.

“I am safe and protected. I have the courage to change my perspective.”

Truth Mandala
PLUG INTO TRUTH

Step Six: Resonate with the power of your Soul to separate yourself from lies, confusion and manipulations.

Consciously “unplug” from lies and manipulations at your solar plexus and then plug into truth.

Be sure to do that while looking at this Circle both crossed and uncrossed!

Step Seven: In this quieter, clearer mind space, think of a decision you are unclear about and would like to apply some common sense to – something that isn’t making sense to you right now.

Or you can ask: “What makes sense to do next?” If you are unclear, this would be a perfect situation to experiment with.

Step Eight: Continue your inquiry,  “How can I put it all together so that it makes sense?” Bring your thoughts in toward the center, blank space. This could take some time. Listen for the answer. What is your inner guidance?

Intuition combined with common sense is often simpler and more straightforward than most people are comfortable with. Let go of the three C’s – complication, convolution and conspiracy. Be patient and let your mind sift through the possibilities.

Step Nine: Balance your senses again and ask yourself:

“What makes the most sense?”

Once you get a heartfelt answer, Congratulations! Be sure to write down what you came up with. The critical mind often doesn’t like to remember the quieter, gentler voice of intuition.

Extra-intuitive Activities

The following extra-intuitive activities aren’t required, but they can help you excel in creating the very best of your talents, interests and passions…

Improving Brain Chemistry for Better Common Sense

We are more likely to make good sense of things when our brains have a balanced chemistry. Let’s see what happens when we allow the chakras of important parts of our brains to let go of toxic chemicals that might be impairing our thinking and how we access common sense.

Gaze softly at the Essential Chakra Key with this intention:

“Accurate messages are transferred between my brain and spinal cord.”

Next, gaze at this Chakra Key with the intention:

“My left and right brain communicate accurately with each other.”

Sometimes we have “the sense knocked out of us” physically. Trauma like that can affect all kinds of thought processes.

“My focus, balance and stability are in place.”

Use this Circle to help you appropriately reconnect any chakras that have disconnected due to accident, injury or violence.

“My communication lines are connected.”

“I make sense of things.”

“Reliable communication has resumed throughout my nervous system.”

Some parts of your brain can anticipate pain and overreact with highly charged emotional responses. Allow them to gently release and let go with this intention:

“I am safe and calm. All is well.”

Application

Go back to Step Seven at the beginning of this exercise and review the decision you were considering.

“What makes good sense to do next?”

INTEGRATION

Imagine that you can release any negative karmic patterns you may have around peer pressure or needing to look good. Send any chaos or confusion up to the Sun.

Next, access your beneficial karma for having good common sense. Gather your good deeds in the center, blank area of this Circle.

“I access my beneficial karma for actualizing good and balanced common sense.”

beneficial karma

“I ground common sense in the New Paradigm.”

Ask yourself:

“How does it feel to access good common sense, based on verifiable experience or repeated observation of the facts?”

Congratulations!

You can thank yourself for taking the time today to learn how to access common sense and good judgement – a gift that will make your life a whole lot better!

Bring the energy of gratitude and appreciation in towards you in the center.

Closure for Mind Body HealingFinish it all up now by sealing and healing any pathways or holes that lead back to old harmful patterns or suffering.

“All holes are sealed and healed.”

“I follow the direction of healthy protection.”

Be sure to rest now and do something nice for yourself!

Learning Resiliency with Mind Exercises

Learning resiliency is another way to say “I want to know how to be stronger and in charge of myself.”

One of the biggest challenges in learning resiliency is dealing with energy drains.

Learning Resiliency - Getting sucked into an energy drainIt’s so easy to get sucked into negative, disaster thinking. All you have to do is turn on any form of media and within minutes you’re hit with intense waves of anger, fear, even paranoia. Before you know it, you can hear that loud, sucking sound of your energy being drained right out of you!

Of course there are plenty of disastrous events that are actually happening. It doesn’t pay to isolate, live in denial or surround yourself with ‘nothing to see here’ apathy. However, paying too much attention to problems is like feeding them and making them worse with your own thinking. A positive balance can be struck by consciously pulling your attention and energy away from the problem and redirecting them to genuinely helpful solutions.

It may sound hard to do, but learning resiliency through this short Mind Exercises is a simple 4 Step process.

With the Intuitive Learning Circle™ method, you can easily use the Circles below as refocusing tools. All you have to do is be open and follow the simple directions. Each Circle helps gather unconscious information, organize awareness and illuminate solutions that come directly from your Soul. You are in charge!

Start out by taking a moment to consider the kinds of situations that really suck you in. Your energy drain could be anything – family, politics, technology, social media or even a personal relationship.

What energy drain comes to mind first?

Next, scroll down and gaze softly at the short sequence of Intuitive Learning Circles™ below. Let each Circle help you access intuitive answers to the questions that go along with them.

Step 1:

Take a moment to relax and take a few deep breaths. Let your shoulders drop and gently look at the Circle in whatever way that appeals to you. Once you feel pretty relaxed. Ask yourself this question:

What am I paying too much attention to that isn’t in my best interests?

It’s important that you take whatever answer comes to you because that answer is your Inner Guidance speaking to you.

Protection

Step 2:

Gaze softly at this next Circle that helps you access your unconscious decisions:

“What decisions am I making about this situation? What have I decided about myself? Are those productive thoughts?”

If so, great! Make them even stronger.

If not, what kind of thoughts and decisions would be better for you to make? Don’t judge, just keep a mental note. Disaster thinking never did make sense. Oftentimes when we change our decisions, our thoughts change too.

Step 3:

As you gaze at this Circle, ask yourself:

“Am I willing to close the pathways in my consciousness that lead to disaster thinking?”

If the answer is yes, use your imagination with this Circle to see the pathways close, as if they were never there.

Step 4:

Am I heading in the direction that is genuinely helpful to me?”

If the answer you get is no, imagine that your spirit is gently turning you in the direction that would be most helpful to you.

Once you’re clear that you’re heading in the right direction, you have successfully pulled yourself out of disaster thinking.

Congratulations!

Now that you know how to use the Circles and what they can do, you might want to experiment some more. There’s a list of possibilities in the next section.

Learning Resiliency - Extra-intuitive Activities

How Can You Choose a Mind Exercise or Self-care Formula That Will Further Help Your Personal Growth in Learning Resiliency?

There are a total of 3 processes that I recommend in this situation:

  1. Strengthen your personal energy by standing strong and Grounding in the Truth.
  2. Clear inappropriate interference and attachments with Develop Healthy Boundaries.
  3. Make sure your environment is supporting your highest good with Setting Up a Safe Space.

Take a look at the red symbol below and ask your heart:
“Which strengthening exercise would help me, right now? Process #1.. 2.. or 3?”

SOS - Soul Oriented Solutions

Remember to take the very first answer that comes to you, because that’s your intuition (Inner Wisdom) speaking. If more than one process comes up, make a mental note of the order they came to you. Start with the one that came first, then see if you need more help.

Once you have your process number, go ahead and click on the link to that number and follow the directions.

This is the intuitive way to decide which process would help you with learning resiliency right now!

Of course, if you want, you can always call (505) 271-4612 or email us at soulresources@gmail.com if you want more advice.

Retrain Your Mind To Go For Joy

When you retrain your mind to go for “joy” rather than “perfection,” amazing things start to happen…

Retrain Your Mind to Go For Joy

Why does joy allude us? Because the mind is busy going for other things. Like being “right”, “desirable” or “perfect”.

A tremendous amount of our learning power is focused on fulfilling deadlines, trying to look good, prevent mistakes, avoid getting caught, make fantasies happen and be “right”.

Most of us are taught that we’re supposed to be perfect, so that’s what we’ve trained the mind to go for.

Retrain Your Mind - Let Go of "Being Perfect"But what does “perfection” mean? Whose definition of being perfect are we using? Our parents? Mom? Dad? Our boss? Our family? Religion? The media? All of these definitions are externally sourced and full of contradictions.

More often than not, “perfection” simply means doing what somebody else wants us to do. No wonder so many of us are overwhelmed, confused and unhappy!

In most cases, going for joy creates more joy – which would be much better. However, in some situations, it might be even more effective to go for “freedom”, “balance” or “sustainable prosperity.”

If you would like to experiment with this idea, you can go through the following game and see what happens to your mood and point of view!

Welcome to Learning in the New Paradigm – Mind Exercises to Retrain Your Mind to Go for Joy Rather than “Perfection.”

~ with Rheanni Lightwater, CHT, CKP

Rheanni Lightwater - Retrain Your MindThe Intuitive Learning Circles™ are a great tool to help you retrain your mind to successfully move away from the internal conflict that comes from having to be perfect. This short exercise will get you started. I’ve put it together to help you discover a way to refocus on internally sourced goals that are joyful and genuinely meaningful for you! All you have to do is gaze softly at the Circles while you contemplate the affirmations or questions that go with them.

An important note ~

The brain and body communicate through different channels when a part of you is crossed over the center of your body. As you go through the steps, cross and uncross a hand or foot over the midline of your body when you gaze at each Circle. Use a soft focus and breathe patiently. This will help you integrate your thinking more fully so that you can be more creative. Let any negative self-talk go by breathing through it.

Okay, so let’s begin…

Step One: In your current situation, who or what is defining “perfection” for you?

Perhaps it’s the media or something you learned at home or in school.

Wherever it came from, does that definition create joy for you? Is it creating more balance or freedom?

So, what are you actually asking your mind to accomplish?

Step Two: How much of your energy have you been sending to this definition?

If it were a percentage, what might it be?

10%? 20%? 50% or more?

Would you like to send that energy to create more joy in this situation instead?

Step Three: Imagine you can retrain your mind to reorganize itself around “joy,” rather than “perfection”.

Place the word “Joy,” “Balance” or “Freedom” in the center, open space of the Circle and soften your gaze. Relax. While you’re doing this, the Circle may seem to rotate, spin or even change colors. If that happens – go with it. Release control of the experience and let your energy re-arrange itself. Your new goal may turn into images, experiences, colors or sounds. Let it happen! You will know that the process is complete when the energy subsides.

You can get up and move around if you like. Take all the time that you need.

Step Four: Think about your situation again. What do you really want to accomplish?

Step Five: Take a moment and focus inwardly on what’s most important for you.

Chakra Healing - Third Eye Chakra

Step Six: How might you approach your situation differently now that you’re going for joy?

How is it different when you go for balance or freedom? What about sustainable prosperity?

Step Seven: Now that you’ve refocused your thoughts and energy on joy, take a break. Give your mind less to have to think about.

“I close the door on all that confusion. I give my mind a rest.”

Closure for Mind Body Healing

Congratulations! Going for joy rather than perfection is a central concept that will help you to live and prosper in the New Paradigm of co-operation and sustainable prosperity.

Thank you for playing Retrain Your Mind to Go for Joy. Now is a good time to go for a walk and relax!

Learning Difficulties – The Genius of Thinking Differently

I’ve learned from experience that what others may call a disease or disability can become the foundation for brilliance, innovation and thinking outside the box.

Rheanni Lightwater
Rheanni Lightwater

I was raised in a time before ADD, ADHD or Dyslexia were considered diseases. In the fifties and early sixties, kids like me didn’t have learning difficulties, we were simply labelled slow, troublemakers or stupid. Judging from the amount of time I spent in the principle’s office, I was probably put into the troublemaker category pretty early on!

Learning Difficulties - Left HandedI remember when I was just beginning to learn how to write my name in cursive. I was trying to figure out which hand worked better making all those loops and curly-ques. While experimenting with my left hand, my second grade teacher came over to me and plucked the pencil right out of my hand. “You don’t want to use that hand,” she barked, “only bad people are left handed.”

I didn’t like that teacher much (for obvious reasons) so, at that moment I made a decision. I was going to be left-handed just to spite her! To this day, I am quasi-ambidextrous – I write with my left hand and do just about everything else with my right.

Similarly, I had difficulty getting my b’s and d’s right. They always seemed to get mixed up in my mind. I was restless in class because I had trouble concentrating and following what the teacher said was unbearable to me. In my early 20’s I even experienced stuttering because I literally couldn’t think of anything to say when in conversation. My mind would go completely blank, which was humiliating to me.

I know that most of the time, advice from teachers, family and friends was meant to help. They just couldn’t understand why I had learning difficulties or what to do about them. Unfortunately, having a mind that’s wired differently meant that techniques that worked well for others, didn’t work well for me.

Much later in life, I started to accept that doing things the way that other people did them just wasn’t going to work for me. I was eventually forced to accept that my learning difficulties had to do with early childhood trauma when a family crisis put me into a full-fledged case of ptsd.

It took me quite a while to get my bearings again, but once I decided that it was okay to be different, outside of the approval of my family, my life took a sharp turn for the better. I stopped beating myself up and started to embrace the things that came naturally to me. I went into bodywork and somatic education together with hypnotherapy and mind/body energy work. I began to experience a satisfaction and success that I had never known before. Finally, I was allowing the way I was wired to lead me into exciting new fields of discovery and innovation!

I set to work learning about and putting together techniques from many different disciplines to help me and my clients, many of whom were highly sensitive people with similar learning difficulties. I developed a whole system of tools for better focus and concentration. I’ve also found that they can help with emotional healing, reducing stress and providing a way to activate advanced states of intuition and creativity.

Intuitive Learning Circles™

Today, I use those tools to guide me as I find solutions to my client’s problems whether it’s in their body, their thinking process or their environment. I call them the Intuitive Learning Circles™ and now I’m making them available to other people, like you – so that you can also experience the beauty and genius of thinking differently.

Developing Precognition – Staying Out of Trouble

Intuition Training Quiz with Rheanni Lightwater: Have You Been Taking the Hit for Someone Else?

Mind Exercise for Developing Precognition If you’ve ever gotten caught in the middle of a fight between people, you know what it feels like to take a punch that was actually meant for someone else.  It feels horrible! Especially for highly sensitive people, who often get caught up in emotional and/or mental conflicts between people.

“If only I knew beforehand or had some kind of “spidey sense” that there was going to be a problem, I wouldn’t have even shown up!”

But wait. That’s not really so far out of the realm of what’s possible. It’s called developing precognition or as I like to say, listening to your intuitive hit.

Clearing the Way for Your Heart’s Desire

Use Your Inner Guidance and Gut Instincts to Get Out of the Way and Learn How to Be in the Right Place at the Right Time.

You’ve probably had an experience of knowing that it just felt wrong to go to a certain place at a certain time. Then later, you find out that there was an accident in that very same place and time! That’s your precognition at work and it’s a darn useful skill to have, especially when times are so chaotic.

The Intuitive Learning Circles are great at bringing intuitive hits, hunches and other unconscious information up to the surface to be examined more closely. Especially if you have learning difficulties or your inner guidance is blocked for some reason. That’s why I’m sharing this Mind Exercise from Learning in the New Paradigm. By playing, you’ll have the opportunity to engage your imagination and shed some light on potential situations where you might be better off just getting out of the way!

In the old paradigm based on greed and separatism, it’s been commonplace for people to try to control things by invading other people’s space or interfering with important personal projects or relationships. This can happen on a physical level, but it can also happen on an energetic level, which often causes emotional shock that sits frozen under surface of our awareness. We have expressions for when these kinds of manipulations happen.  “Get out of my space,” or “stop playing mind games with me,” are just a few.

Gaze softly at this Circle to help you gently release any shock that might be under the surface for you. Imagine the lines are getting all wavey and loose.

Use this next Circle to help you identify unconscious information about how you can develop precognition in your current situation. Gaze softly at this Circle and ask yourself:

“Is there a situation coming up where I need to get out of the way?”

“Is there a situation where someone is getting in my way or blocking what I need to do?”

Be patient and relax into your body. The Circle is helping you focus in on pertinant unconscious information. Your answer could come in the form of a feeling, an image, words or a combination of them all.

If the answer you get is “no”, count yourself lucky and keep up the good work staying out of trouble!

If the answer is “yes” or “sometimes”, keep going with this exercise to find out more about what’s going on and what you can do about it.

Go Through the Mind Exercise for Developing Precognition

1. Slow down and ask for more information about what’s really going on. Use your imagination and see the landscape of your mind slowing down too. Things may simply be moving too fast for you to get out of the way when trouble is about to happen.

3. When things are chaotic or moving too fast, it’s easy to get distracted and fall into scams, traps and deceptive mind games. Plus, people are more likely to be mixed up in situations where they really don’t belong. Use Kuan Yin’s symbol for Truth to help you separate what’s true from what’s a distraction or all-out lie.

“TRUTH KNOWS NO MASTER.”

Being in the Wrong Place at the Wrong Time

4. Bring to mind one relationship or situation where you think there might be a problem. While you think about it, gaze at this Circle and ask your gut a couple of simple “yes” or “no” questions:

“Is there danger in this situation?”

Once you find the situation, ask yourself:

“What is the danger here? Would my time be wasted? Is there an important reason I’m considering doing this? Is it worth it to put myself in this situation?”

5. Continue your self-inquiry:

“Am I being pulled of track or doing harm to myself? Would my projects be harmed? My loved ones?”

“If so, what is the problem?”

It could be timing, placement, priorities, an agreement or something else…

Take your time to get as much information as you can.

6.  Would being in this situation have a negative effect on your boundaries? Your prosperity? Your health or well-being? In what way?

7. What is the best thing to do in this case? If you need to move out of the way, see yourself doing that in your minds eye. If you need to let go or say “no”, see yourself doing that. Whatever message you get, see yourself taking your own advice.

Finish this part of Developing Precognition with these affirmations:

“I resolve to be in the right place at the right time for my highest good.”

“I stay out of trouble and follow through on my priorities.”

“I close the doors on old habits, distractions or misconceptions.”

How To Trust Your Gut Instinct

This Mind Exercise is about how to trust your gut instinct. Let’s start with the definition of instinct * that I like to use:

How to Trust Your Gut instinct“Instinct is primal and body centered. It’s purpose is self-preservation. Instinct tells us that we’re tired, hungry, sad or afraid through a full body response – a feeling, not just a thought. The natural instinct for joy may be suppressed, mistuned and perverted by cultural conditioning.”

*from the Learning in the New Paradigm Series by Rheanni Lightwater: Mind Exercises to retrain your mind to focus on” balance” or “joy”, rather than “perfection.”

To have your own experience with how to trust your gut instinct, choose a situation that you have some resistance towards. When instinct goes out of balance it’s usually about something you fear. Or you could be disoriented by confusing changes in your external world. Once you have that situation, follow the directions for this simple series of Intuitive Learning Circles™. They’ve been put together to help you relax, contemplate the nature of instinct and integrate the information.

How to Trust Your Gut Instincts

Continue following the directions while you gaze softly at each Circle.

Step One: It’s easy to get confused by what other people want or social conditioning. Use this Circle to relax and establish an intention to get in touch with your true, gut instincts. These affirmations can help:

“I relax into myself.  I know who I am.’

“I distinguish my needs from the needs of others.”

“I release any agreement I have to distrust who I truly am.”

Step Two: Bring your attention to your heart and solar plexus area and “feel” yourself inside that area.

Here is an affirmation that works well:

“I am inside of me. Everything else is outside of me.”

It will help to imagine you can bring all the energy into focus on the center, open space of each Intuitive Learning Circle™.

Step Three: You feel Instinct in your solar plexus area, where your 3rd chakra is located. Use the Circle to let go of any tension in that area. Breathe into it. Let the energy get balanced and open there.

Step Four: Without being firmly positioned in the “home base” of your solar plexus, it’s very difficult to trust yourself and access courage. Use this affirmation:

“I am grounded and connected in my solar plexus.”

“I am upright and facing forward.”

Step Five: “I have found my courage and determination.”

“I let them strengthen and support me.”

Step Six: Now check in with your gut. What does it tell you to do? How might you go about doing so? The answer will be visceral.

Guidance that comes from balanced instinct is direct and action oriented. It’s purpose is for you to be okay, so if you’re getting too elevated and emotional, use the Circle to help you dial it down. Be patient and listen to what your body is communicating to you.

What do you need?

Once you get an action statement that feels right, Congratulations! You might want to make a note of it. The critical mind often likes to override the gut instinct with a lot of second-guessing, procrastination and feelings of overwhelm.

Let’s use that idea to solidify what you’ve just learned about how to trust your gut instincts.

How to Trust Your Gut InstinctRemember that when instinct is out of balance, it’s easy to get lost. There is a lack of courage and everything is about avoidance – avoiding getting caught, procrastination and avoiding responsibility. In extremes, this gives rise to panic, scapegoating and disassociation.

I think most people agree that it would be better to get back into balance and go for joy instead!

Use these symbols and positive affirmations from The Essential Human to access the very best qualities to nurture your instinctual promptings.

“I release the need to be impulsive and reactionary. I now respect my decisions and the decisions of others.”

“I release myself from the prison of doubt and confusion. I now choose freedom.”

“I release my obsession with the negative. I now live with satisfaction and optimism.”

“I release coming from a place of offensiveness or defensiveness. I now come from a place of open receiving.”

INTEGRATION

Imagine that you can access your beneficial karma for trusting yourself. Gather all your good deeds in the center, blank area of this Circle.

“I access my beneficial karma for balanced, instinctual knowing.”

Ask yourself:

How will it feel to trust my gut instinct in the future?

What about later today or tomorrow?

A month from now?

How does it feel a year from now?

Congratulations!

You can thank yourself for taking the time today to learn how to trust your gut instinct – a gift that will make you feel a lot more empowered!

Bring all the energy of gratitude and appreciation in towards you in the center!

Finish it all up now by sealing and healing any pathways or holes that lead back to old harmful patterns or suffering.

“All holes are sealed and healed.”

How To Be More Intuitive

This Mind Exercise* is about how to be more intuitive. Let’s start with the definition of intuition that I like to use:

“Intuition is an inner knowing available to us when all of the senses, known and unknown are balanced and able to receive information that is usually filtered out by the conscious mind.”

How to Be More Intuitive

*from the Learning in the New Paradigm Series by Rheanni Lightwater: Games to retrain your mind to focus on” balance” or  “joy”, rather than “perfection.”

To have your own experience with how to be more intuitive, let’s go through this simple series of Intuitive Learning Circles™. They’ve been put together to help you relax, contemplate the nature of intuition and integrate the information.

Mind Body Integration

Mind Body IntegrationThe brain and body communicate through different channels when a part of you is crossed over the center of your body. If you feel resistant or stuck, cross or uncross a hand or foot over the midline of your body and go back to the Circle, breathing patiently. See if your thinking starts to move again. Let negative self-talk go by breathing through it.

Simply read the instructions and then follow through on the directions while you gaze softly at the Circle.

Step One: Slow down. Stop being in such a hurry.

It will help to imagine you can bring all the energy into focus on the center, open space of each Intuitive Learning Circle™.

Step Two: Let your senses get balanced. Some may be turned up too high and some too low.

You can adjust them like a radio dial until it feels just right.

Step Three: Intuition is an internal thing. Focus in on your heart center and let the energy get balanced and open there.

Step Four: Make sure you’re centered and balanced in your solar plexus as well (your solar plexus is that soft area in the front where your ribs go up.).

Step Five: In this quiet and more centered place, ask a simple question that you want guidance about. Listen for the answer.

What is your inner guidance?

Intuition is simple and straightforward, so if you’re getting a big convoluted answer, that probably isn’t intuition. Be patient and go through the exercise again.

Once you get a heartfelt answer, congratulations! You have accessed your intuition! You might want to make a note of what you came up with. The critical mind often doesn’t like to remember the quieter, gentler voice of intuition.

Extra-intuitive Activities

The following extra-intuitive activities aren’t required, but they can really help you excel in creating the very best of your talents, interests and passions…

Future Pacing

In our hypnotherapy and energy medicine classes, we talk about the importance of future pacing. What is that?

Future pacing is a way to deepen the effects of any mind body healing by projecting a preferred outcome into the future. Let’s use that idea to solidify what you’ve just learned about how to be more intuitive.

Intuition out of balanceRemember that when intuition is out of balance, it tries to define “perfection” in extremes, which gives rise to fantasy, hallucination and wishful thinking.

Let’s head that kind of intuition off at the pass right now!

Use these symbols and positive affirmations from The Essential Human to access the very best qualities to nurture your intuitive talents.

“I close the door on turmoil, panic and chaos. I now access serenity and calm.”

“I release my focus on conflict. I now open to peaceful and prosperous solutions.”

“I close the doors in my mind that lead to grumpy, hopeless, sarcastic or cynical behavior. I am now confident and resolute.”

“I release impatience, distractions and confusion. My actions now have purpose.”

INTEGRATION

Imagine that you can access your beneficial karma for being more intuitive. Gather all your good deeds in the center, blank area of this Circle.

“I access my beneficial karma for actualizing balanced and helpful intuition.”

“I plant new karmic seeds for the conditions I need to be more intuitive and to accomplish my heartfelt goals.”

Completion

The mind intuitively appreciates closure. Let’s get present and grounded as we complete this mind exercise.

Place both feet on the floor and put your hands on your knees if you can. Gaze softly at the Circle and repeat the affirmation until you feel your body has fully settled in the present.

“I am grounded in the present.”

Ask yourself:

How will it feel to access my intuition in the future?

What about later today or tomorrow?

A month from now?

How does it feel a year from now?

Congratulations!

You can thank yourself for taking the time today to learn how to be more intuitive – a gift that will make your life a whole lot better!

Bring the energy of gratitude in towards the center and let it connect with your heart.

Finish it all up now by sealing and healing any pathways or holes that lead back to old, harmful patterns or suffering.

“All holes are sealed and healed.”
