Feng Shui for Your Home

Using Feng Shui For Your Home with the I Ching to Assess Your Continuing Happiness in the New Paradigm ~

Feng shui for your home is very useful anytime you’re going through significant changes. That includes changes of the season.

Feng Shui for Your Home

“In order to avoid stagnation and degeneration in the current situation, a transforming change may be necessary.” ~ Hexagram #49 ADAPTING

“The object of your inquiry is in a state of disrepair…You are in the position to assume responsibility for a long-needed reform. Do it… The situation will develop new energy and inspiration once the problems are removed.~ Hexagram #18 REPAIR

The process of clearing and setting up the energy of your home helps you to optimize your chances for success in all areas of your life. However, some people don’t know that feng shui can also help you to correct instability and “take apart” destructive patterns that are causing you and your family harm.

“Order can be brought to chaotic situations, Because you are now unusually familiar with the elements involved in the object of your inquiry, you can evaluate and arrange them in whatever way necessary to achieve your aim.” ~ Hexagram #64 BEFORE THE END

Once the imbalances are corrected in your environment, personal growth happens more easily and effectively. Your sense of timing improves, chaos is reduced and changes in life direction are supported.

This short game can help you evaluate whether or not your home is providing a safe and healthy environment that can easily support your happiness.

*In order to avoid STAGNATION, there’s an old feng shui recommendation that twelve objects be moved or rearranged in some way at the change of every season or during other times of significant change. Get a notepad to write on and see if you can find at least twelve objects that you can move, rearrange or remove as you go through this revealing game!

Simply gaze softly at the symbols while you consider the questions that accompany each of them. Doing so will help you to uncover hidden information about how your prosperity or sense of “home” is being impaired (it will also work in your office).

Transformation Game – Feng Shui for Your Home:

Begin by getting in the correct mindset to receive important information. Gaze softly at this symbol while you repeat the following affirmation for a minute or two:

“I ask my intuition to reveal hidden information about imbalances or interferences in my home that are causing me or my family harm.”

They say that intuition is easier when all of the senses are balanced. So relax with this next Circle and adjust the volume on your senses – some may be turned up too high and some too low. You can bring them into balance by adjusting the levels.

The opportunity to change a situation from STAGNATION to progress is at hand. It will not happen of its own accord. A strong and continuing sense of purpose is necessary to achieve and maintain the greatest possible heights of success. ~ Hexagram #12 STAGNATION

Slow down some more and become aware of your actual, physical home environment. Briefly review each room and remind yourself about what’s really important about the function of each room. What happens there and what purpose does that room serve for you and/or the family?

You might also want to think about how a change in the season might affect each room.

If your mind goes blank, or you’re having trouble accessing clear intuition, use this Circle to melt away any disharmony or resistance. It can help to imagine the room softening and moving around. Wait until the energy stabilizes.

Once you’ve briefly gone through each room and feel ready, move on to the questions below that will help you identify more specifics.

“Order can be brought to chaotic situations, Because you are now unusually familiar with the elements involved in the object of your inquiry, you can evaluate and arrange them in whatever way necessary to achieve your aim.” ~ Hexagram #64 BEFORE THE END

Question #1 Trust your initial response to the questions ~

“Are there pockets of negativity or STAGNATION collecting in my home?”

“If so, can I identify where they are located? Do I know what needs to be done to remedy them?”

If no, continue to Question #2.

Question #2

“Am I experiencing poor communication or lack of co-operation where I live?”

“If so, can I identify the source of where it’s coming from? Can I get an idea of what changes are needed?”

 Question #3

“Are there any objects or elements out of balance that are causing mental, emotional, financial or physical difficulties?”

“If so, can I identify how they can be brought into balance?”

“Does something need to be moved, reorganized or completely removed?”

Question #4

“Could I benefit from being more grounded and present in my own home?”

“If so, can I identify the source of what the problem is?”

“Does something need to be moved, reorganized or completely removed to help me be more grounded?”

Question #5

“Is there any interference with productivity?”

“If so, can I identify something that needs to be moved, reorganized or completely removed in order to help me be more productive?”

Question #6

“Is my health or prosperity struggling because of disharmony in my  environment?”

Does something need to be moved, reorganized or completely removed to restore harmony?”

Question #7

“Is there anything I need to know about my environment that is preventing me from heading in the right direction to accomplish my goals? Can I get a sense of what that is?”

“Is there anything I can add to enhance the love and light available in my home?”

“A change is occurring, whether in you own objectives or in the situation around you… By adapting to the realities around you at this time, you will find peace of mind and success.” ~ Hexagram #17 REPAIR

Question #8

“Is my environment safe and have adequate protection? Is there anything I need to do to be certain that it’s free from harmful or interfering energies?”

Question #9

You can use this Circle to review the feng shui for your home to see if you can come up with at least twelve items that can be moved, removed, or added to help accommodate the changes that you are currently experiencing.

Congratulations! You now have a lot more information about how feng shui for your home or office can be helpful in achieving your goals.

Office Feng Shui

How to Achieve Your Goals for Business Using Office Feng Shui ~

As your business changes and grows, it’s important to keep some fundamental principles about office Feng Shui in mind so that your goals for success are properly supported.

Rheanni LightwaterIn this article I’m going to share several basic issues and remedies I often use when working with clients who want to know how to set up their office or studio space for success. Then, just for some added fun and insight, we’ll also use some Intuitive Learning Circles™ to help you zero in on what your intuition says about the space you work in!

Principle #1: Productivity

A smart business owner or professional pays close attention to their office or workplace environment and uses proper input to increase productivity.

What are some of the things to think about? What would a Feng Shui expert ask you? Certainly, a reliable practitioner would want to find out if something about your office is keeping you from doing your best. It’s easy to get distracted by non-essential details. You can clarify that for yourself a bit by using the Mind Exercise below.

Take a break from your busy day, slow down and see your business environment as it is right now.

This Intuitive Learning Circle™ from Gifts from the Rainforest will help you slow down, tune into your intuitive senses and clarify what’s going on. Simply gaze softly at the Circle for a few moments with a soft gaze. Relax and allow your mind to to get still.

Use these positive affirmations while you take a few breaths:

“I slow down. I choose to be calm and centered.”

It often helps to imagine that everything is moving in slow motion. Once your mind has stopped chattering, you’ll be able to focus on your business priorities with greater accuracy.

“I know what my primary business goals are.”

Now, turn your attention to your actual, physical working environment as it is right now:

What is your overall impression?

Do you feel productive there? Do you feel comfortable?

Does anything distract you?

If so, make a note of whatever distracts you and we’ll come back to it later.

Principle #2 Grounding

A smart business owner makes sure that they feel grounded in their working environment.

If the space is not grounded, your success is being severely compromised. It’s wise to rectify this situation as soon as possible.

Here is another Intuitive Learning Circle™ that’s about being grounded. Use it in the same way you used the previous Circle, except this time, make sure both feet are on the ground. Remember to relax and gaze at the Circle with a soft focus!

“I am well grounded in the intentions I have for my business.”

Grounding

Now, ask yourself another set of questions: “Is this room grounded? Am I able to think clearly in my environment?

Do I easily get overwhelmed?”

If you’re having a problem here, it’s a really good idea to get the room grounded. You can either get professional help or you could try standing or sitting in the middle of the space and use this affirmation while you gaze quietly at the Circle above. “I am grounded in this space.”

I also use obsidian to keep spaces grounded here in the Southwest area of the United States. Find a good size rock and place it somewhere unobtrusive as close to the center of the room as is practical.

Obsidian
Image compliments of Geology.com

You may have you own favorite techniques for getting grounded. Go ahead and try them. You can confirm whether it’s worked or not by looking at the Grounding Circle above again and asking, “Is the space grounded now?”

If not, keep trying other techniques until the answer comes back positive. If you are having trouble getting grounded yourself, you can try one of my favorite Mind Exercises from SOS – Soul Oriented Solutions

Principle #3: Support

A smart business owner makes sure that their environment supports their intention.

If you own a restaurant, you’ll want it to have an atmosphere that suits the style of eating establishment you have in mind. The needs of a fast food deli, for instance, would be quite different from a place intended for fine dining. The same goes for every kind of business – if the atmosphere doesn’t “feel” right, it’s success will be compromised. That’s one reason why it’s usually a very good idea to keep your home office out of your bedroom. Usually sleeping well and business productivity don’t mix very well.

Sometimes it’s hard to know whether you’re on track, so here is another Intuitive Learning Circle™ to help you tune into the overall “feel” of your working environment.

As you look at this Circle, imagine your space again in your mind’s eye, then ask yourself these questions:

“Am I feeling nurtured here? Do I feel stressed here? If so, when?”

“What is distracting me from productive activities that are in the best interest of my business success?”

Remember if there’s anything about your office feng shui that’s distracting you. Use this Feng Shui Mandala for Receptivity to relax and help you formulate the changes that would help you. Ask yourself:

“What needs to change?”

Consider moving, clearing or re-organizing whatever is distracting you.

If you’re not feeling supported in your workplace, there could be many reasons. Again, calling in a professional is probably a good idea, however, if you enjoyed playing Office Feng Shui, you could find some remedies at our online store, Feng Shui Healing Arts.

Feng Shui Healing Arts

A special feature of the Intuitive Learning Circle™ is sharing Feng Shui Healing Arts inspired by Kuan Yin.

Feng Shui Healing Arts

As a healing deva and feminine Ascended Master, Kuan Yin is  respected throughout the healing community. She has been helping me developsince 2001 with some amazing Feng Shui Healing Arts and I Ching Readings that interpret larger trends and help us adapt to the energy of the cosmos.

As events in the external world clearly indicate, the change that we have been asking for is upon us. Unfortunately, many decaying and corrupt elements must be faced and transmuted in the process. That is why Kuan Yin is very direct and to the point, even though she is the Goddess of Compassion. Her messages and artwork are intended to offer practical suggestions that will inform and illuminate our perceptions so that we can go through what she calls “the quickening” as quickly as possible.

This particular page is here to give you a current listing of the Feng Shui Healing Arts that are available through Soul Resources LLC and the Intuitive Learning Circle™. If you have any questions, please send me an email at soulresources@gmail.com or give me a call at 505-271-4612.

Creating Internal Safety

Understanding How the Second Chakra is Involved in Creating Internal Safety ~

The Second Chakra Is Deeply Connected to how well we Nurture and protect ourselves.

Second Chakra - Creating Internal Safety

Primary Chakra LocationsThe Second Chakra is the energy plexus where emotions, digestion and immunity all come together. When it gets out of balance or stagnant, toxic pollutants from all those sources can negatively impact your physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Your 2nd chakra is located approximately 2-3 inches directly down from your navel.

When Creating Internal Safety, Keep in Mind ~

We Unconsciously Create Whatever We’ve Been Conditioned to Pay Attention To.

If you’re paying attention to negativity, what other people are doing or what you think they’re doing, you’re very liable to become depressed and develop a compromised immune system.

It’s common for empaths or other highly sensitive people to pay a lot of attention to other people in an effort to stay safe or get along. To develop healthy boundaries it helps to know that each of us has a unique vibration and “soul color” that allows us to vibrate with the Universe appropriately. Use the first Intuitive Learning Circle™ below to help you be sure that you’re tuning into your emotions and not someone elses!

Mind Body IntegrationTo fully integrate your personal vibration simply gaze softly at the Circle both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body while you affirm to yourself:

“I know who I am. I distinguish my needs from the needs of others.”

You can help yourself even more if you consciously move your preferred karma into the center open space of the Karmic Seed Circle and pay attention to it instead of other people’s stuff!

“I set things right by letting go of other people’s karmic issues. I now focus on my own, beneficial karma to create safety and well-being for myself.”

Keep going by clarifying the difference between you and others:

“I am inside of my body. I pay attention to what is best for me.”

Now that you’re clearer about what’s your energy and what belongs to others, you are ready to program your Second Chakra for Creating Internal Safety for You!

Creating Internal Safety is based on SOS Mind Exercise #8: Setting Up a Safe Space

Creating Internal Safety by Setting Up a Safe Space The environment in your second chakra is very important to your self-care and emotional healing. When it’s balanced and healthy, it transmits a vibrant orange energy that attracts belonging and support. It’s also your creative center, the place where you produce your personal mana or creative energy. If it gets stagnant or caught up in emotional entanglements, your physical emotional and spiritual health could suffer. Instead of creating personal growth, you might get stuck in co-dependency or start creating toxic conditions for yourself without knowing why or what to do about it. If this sounds like something that you’ve been experiencing, you can do something about it.

In Creating Internal Safety, you’ll be utilizing your intuitive insight to implement very simple changes that can make a world of difference in how you’re creating internal safety in your personal space. You’ll discover that your intuition and unconscious mind are much more aware of whats going on than your conscious mind does!

Go through this mind exercise by reading each step and then gazing softly at the Circle that goes with it to gain insight about what creative changes you can make in your internal and/or external environment that will help you.

1. The goal of Creating Internal Safety is for you to get clarity about how well your personal space is supporting you and what you can do to make improvements. You might get insights about your body or in your external environment. After all, they are connected.

First, take some time to slow down while you gaze softly at the Circle. Breathe in and out several times. Drop your shoulders. Relax your jaw.

Now that you’re relaxed, imagine you can see the space within your Second Chakra (remember, that’s located about 2″ below your navel).

Zoom in, like a camera. See it moving in slow motion.

What do you notice? Go ahead and make notes about what you sense.

2. Gaze at this Circle and ask for help so that you can get more aware.

Is there anything in your personal space or immediate environment that could be triggering an unsettling reaction in you?

  • Is something missing? Is something present that shouldn’t be?
  • Is there toxic build up?
  • What else do you notice that doesn’t seem right?

3. Physical objects in your external space carry a lot of energy through them, especially if they have been gifted to you or are second hand pieces. These could be books, equipment, furniture, pictures and other objects of art. Are there any objects in your home or office that are having a negative effect on you? If so, can you identify them?

What would remedy the situation?

Does something need to be moved, rearranged, cleaned or removed completely? Can something be brought in to remedy the situation?

4. You could be preoccupied by things that cause you to be anxious. Relax and ask these questions:

“Is there something I can let go of that will help ease the situation?”

“if so, what is it and where is it located?”

“Am I internalizing anything?”

“Is there anything else?”

4. What emotion is running through you? Is it throwing you off balance?

If so, are you experiencing any emotional compulsions, obsessions or phobias?

6. Is there anything else that’s irritating you?

Identify it if you can.

What will remedy the situation?

Does something need to be moved, cleaned, cleared or rearranged? Does anything need to be removed completely?

Is there anything else?

7. Is there anything that you could bring into your space or your diet that would help you be happier or more creative?

Would anything increase your good health or emotional stability?

Could anything be done to increase your sense of safety?

What might you add that would bring more beauty into your space?

Congratulations! You can finish Creating Internal Safety by closing the door to any old pathways to suffering. Then remind yourself that your personal space belongs to you. How you take care of it has a profound effect on the rest of your life!

Santa Fe Intuitive: In My Words,  Rheanni Lightwater, BFA, CHT, CKP

The phrases I use most often when describing what I do are ‘freedom and choice,’ ‘being joyful,’ ‘personal responsibility’, ‘sustainable prosperity’ and ‘clearing the way for your heart’s desire‘. During an initial consultation, I’ll want to know what you want to have happen and if I can assist you in getting there. I see my role in the healing process as a teacher who can guide you through some of the more difficult transitions of your life. I offer a safe, learning space for you to discover how powerful and capable you are.

I believe in the innate healing capabilities of the human spirit. When I first began studying the area of self-healing and soul retrieval in 1998, I already had eight years of bodywork experience working with people who had suffered from traumatic experiences. I saw everything from emotional and physical abuse, to sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress. I learned how the body forms patterns of contraction and hyperextension to compensate and protect itself from pain. I found out that the memory of a traumatic event is held in the tissue and perpetuated through stress messages that are routinely sent through the central nervous system like a continuous feedback loop.

It became apparent to me as I worked with ptsd, that most peoples’ impulses and immediate reactions to situations are based on their past experiences. Bits of important movements and memories become frozen through trauma or shock, leaving the person in a state of amnesia. I also noticed that people with this kind of amnesia can be highly sensitive and often have difficulty following through on their goals and hopes for the future.

I have observed recurring episodes where physical and mental symptoms would erupt, seemingly without warning. However, these episodes are almost always triggered by an event or person that brings back memories of a past traumatic event. It seems that the mind and body are definitely working together on some unknown level to sabotage any efforts made towards full recovery.

As a part of my own journey, I have also been working through my own learning disabilities resulting from traumatic early life situations. I have suffered from dyslexia for as long as I could remember. My mind would often go blank and anxiety attacks were frequent and debilitating.

One day, I decided that no matter what, I would find a way to bridge the gap between the limited life I was living and the life I dreamed of having. I decided that I would search every avenue that might bring me into contact with that unknown level where mind and body meet and rectify the damage that had been done. At the time, the books all said that victims of trauma and abuse could never fully recover, that they would at best, just learn to live with it. I wasn’t willing to settle for that answer.

I pursued every modality available to me, including Hypnotherapy, Hanna Somatics, Cranial-sacral Therapy, Structural Integration and dozens of other forms of bodywork. I learned about Homeopathy and put myself in the care of a fine Homeopathic Nurse Practitioner in Los Angeles.

Anything that held promise, I investigated tirelessly. I came into contact with various forms of indigenous healing – Hawaiian, Peruvian, Chinese, Tibetan and Native American – just to name a few. I meditated, learned kinesiology and got attuned to Reiki. In 1998, I began writing about what was working and why. I studied soul retrieval, dreams and symbology, shamanism and theories about the collective unconscious. Each modality was helpful in its own way, yet I kept having trouble holding ground. I would do all right for a while, but then I’d fall back into the same old patterns.

It wasn’t enough for me to just escape from unwanted thoughts and feelings. I had learned that problems cannot be solved from the same mental position they were created from. During intensive shamanic journeys it became clear that a transformation of consciousness was required to get from where I was to where I wanted to be and that my emotional healing was inextricably interwoven with how I was relating to my environment. What I needed was a way to retrain myself to be stronger,  more resilient and able to access  inner resources I didn’t know I had. That is when the Intuitive Learning Circles™ came into being and my intuitive abilities came in full force.

Rheanni Lightwater, Advanced KinesiologyIn 2002, I started working as a medical intuitive at a Naturopathic Detoxing Clinic in Tigard, Oregon that specialized in helping highly sensitive people detox from exposure to harmful chemicals, electro-magnetic poisoning and heavy metals. I was asked to come up with energy medicine protocols that would assist people in detoxing quicker and easier.  I succeeded with the Re-balancing Cellular Resonance process using the Intuitive Learning Circles™. Soon, the Doctors started sending me home with the patients to find out what they were reacting to and that is when I discovered how important Feng Shui and space clearing is to living a happy, healthy life.

Now, Bob and I are here in Santa Fe, New Mexico and I am excited to share what I know with this extraordinary community. Out of my search for wholeness, peace and self-love, I humbly offer the mind body healing, intuition training and self-help books of Soul Resources LLC.

Setting Up A Safe Space

SOS Mind Exercise #8: Setting Up a Safe Space

Setting Up a Safe Space with Feng ShuiYour environment is very important to your emotional health. It gives you a sense of belonging and support. It also gives you a place to center yourself and be grounded in. If you’re not experiencing that where you are now, you can do something about it or at least open up to some helpful possibilities by going through Mind Exercise #8 Setting Up a Safe Space from SOS – Soul Oriented Solutions.

In this mind exercise you will be utilizing your intuitive insight to implement very simple changes that can make a world of difference in how your space feels. You’ll discover that your intuition and unconscious mind are much more aware of your environment than you know!

Setting Up a Safe Space is for you if you are:

~ Going through a major transition or renovation
~ Feeling ill or unsafe in your environment
~ Having difficulty sleeping
~ Sensing that clutter is taking over
~ Experiencing difficulty in moving forward
~ Repeatedly feeling restless or anxious
~ Wanting your environment to support your personal growth.

Go through this mind exercise by reading each step and then gazing softly at the Circle that goes with it to gain insight about what creative changes you can make in your environment that will help you. Learn more about the Intuitive Learning Circles >

1. The goal of Setting Up a Safe Space is for you to get clarity about how well your space is supporting you and what you might do to make improvements.

First, take some time to slow down while you gaze softly at the Circle. Breathe in and out several times. Drop your shoulders. Relax your jaw.

Now that you’re relaxed, imagine you can see the space you’re inquiring about moving in slow motion.

What do you notice?

Go ahead and make notes about what you sense.

2. Feeling safe is a major priority. Innocent happenings such as loud noises, flashing lights, repetitive motion or high frequencies can cause unpleasant reactions in you without your being consciously aware of them. Gaze at this Circle and ask for help so that you can get more aware.

Is there anything in your space or immediate environment that could be triggering an unsettling reaction in you?

  • Is there a flashing light? Sudden movements?
  • A sound? Are there disturbing frequencies?
  • Are toxic influences present? Anything else?

3. There may be clutter in the environment that causes you to be anxious.

Relax and ask these questions:

“Is there any clutter that I can remove that will help ease the situation?”

“What is it and where is it located?”

“Is there anything else?”

4. Physical objects carry a lot of energy through them, especially if they have been gifted to you or are second hand pieces. These could be books, furniture, pictures and other objects of art. They could be inside the building or outside.

Are there any objects that are having a negative effect on you or anyone else in your space? Include pets and frequent visitors.

If so, can you identify them?

Do they simply need to be moved or rearranged?

Do they need to be cleaned or removed completely?

5. Is there anything else that’s irritating you?

Identify it if you can.

What will remedy the situation?

Does something need to be moved, cleaned, cleared or rearranged?

Does anything need to be removed completely?

Is there anything else?

6. Is there anything that you could bring into your space that would help you be more creative or productive?

Would anything increase your good health or happiness?

Could anything be done to increase your sense of safety?

What might you add that would bring more beauty into your space?

Congratulations! You can finish Setting Up a Safe Space by reminding yourself that you have a place to be and now you have a plan to make it even better!
